My name is Jane Connolly and my entire career has been about telling stories. I'm a content writer and copywriter who can bring your ideas to life.

NEWSPAPERS

After starting out as a trainee newspaper reporter with the Trinity Mirror local group in 2005, I qualified and moved on to work on features.

Three years as the arts reporter for Kent on Sunday newspaper enabled me to master the long read, the awkward celebrity interview and the art of helping ordinary people to share their extraordinary stories.

MAGAZINES

During four years at the helm of glossy lifestyle So magazine series, I wrote about everything from property, weddings and fashion to motoring, travel and local history, alongside commercial in-house magazines.

My year's experience editing regional B2B magazine South East Business developed a passionate interest in trade and industry.

MARKETING

Drawing on my news desk experience, I've been able to put my skills to good use helping SMEs achieve the attention they deserve. Projects have included marketing two online radio shows, a manufacturing and engineering trade magazine, business financial services, a national food awards scheme and a women in business networking group.

CURRENT PROJECTS

I am the freelance editor of periodic publication Breakthrough Magazine, which focuses on innovation in the UK manufacturing and engineering industries. Other freelance roles including writing about financial technology for the industry news site Fintech Futures.

I also provide website copy, blogs, social media support and promotional text for an exciting variety of businesses.

Based in Hythe, on the beautiful south Kent coast, I am within easy reach of the high speed rail link

and can be in central London within an hour.
